                      ‘Year of Wonders’

The theme for the photo exhibition is your response to the unusual times we find ourselves in 2020 in the Manningham community. For example; how Covid 19 has affected you, your community and environment, the wonders you have discovered while in isolation, your neighbourhood’s changing moods and scenes, your hopes for a post Covid 19.

Who can take part?:
All ages,
Professional and amateur photographers
Residents of Manningham, and surrounding suburbs.

 

Entry and participation is free.

Photographs will be selected by local photographer Bill McAuley.
26 photographs will be selected for large format printing, using aluminium composite board, [1200 x 900 mm] to be displayed outside at Taffy’s Hut in Lions Park, Warrandyte. The exhibition will extend for six months, open to the public.
It will be timed to coincide with completion of Stage 1 of Lions Park, the redeveloped park between the Bridge and the Bakery.
Submissions are open from mid September and close on 23 October 2020
Notification of selection by 2 November.

The date of the exhibition opening is 28 November at Taffy’s Hut.
The Projection will be at 8pm under the Warrandyte Bridge [dependent on restrictions of numbers due to Covid regulations].

100 Photographs will be selected for a projection event to be held under the Warrandyte Bridge on Saturday 28 November 2020. This projection may be held again at the Pottery Expo at Warrandyte on 27 February 2021 and at the short film festival at the Warrandyte Festival on 19 March 2021.

Photos must have been taken in 2020.
They should be submitted online from 10-30mb each.
Each entry must be the original artistic work of the entrant and does not infringe the rights, including copyright and privacy rights, of any third party.
Written permission must be supplied by any subjects of photos.

Entrants must allow the organisers to use their photographs for publicity purposes for this event. Each entrant retains copyright of their photos. Each photographer has ownership of their photos and will keep their photos after the exhibition is finished.
The organisers do not hold responsibility for any damage to photos while exhibited in a public space.

Taffy's Hut

Taffy Jones lived through fire and flood in the 20's and 30's in Warrandyte. The ruins of his house remain as a reminder of Warandyte's past. The walls inside will host the photographic exhibition 'A Year of Wonders'. The exhibition will coincide with completion of Stage 1 of Lions Park, between the Bakery and the Warrandyte Bridge, Yarra St, Warrandyte 3113.
