I create handmade, heartfelt ceramics, specializing in tea ware and tableware. I work with unique clays and glazes to create functional forms that reflect emotions evoked by my surroundings. I like to find new ways of making simple objects to create useful things. My organic forms are inspired by the natural beauty of the local area and the land on which I live. Forms are thrown and carved, sculptural and textural. My pieces invite the touch and draw you in, losing you in their detail. They are beautiful to hold, a small thing beauty- simple, but complex at all once. My work weaves a story of history & tradition, ancient, but modern in its telling.
